for locals and visitors alike. The show hosts a collection of local and mainland
merchants under one roof with hot new products, gadgets and services.
May 1, 2010 - 2010 LEI DAY CELEBRATION
Kapiolani Park Bandstand. City & County of Honolulu invites
everyone to the FREE 82nd annual LEI DAY CELEBRATION May 1st, 9:00am
to 5:30pm @ Queen Kapiolani Park's Bandstand. The most exquisite
lei are on view noon to 5:30. Royal Hawaiian Band at 9:00am, Lei
Queen ceremony starting from 10:00 am, Hula, Hawaiian music, steel
guitar, arts & crafts, lei and food vendors all day. May 2nd
at Mauna Ala, the Royal Mausoleum (2261 Nu'uanu Avenue) @ 8:30am
the leis are laid out on the grass for inspection.

24 – 25, 2010 - WAIKIKI ARTFEST
Kapiolani Park Waikiki. Our Waikiki Artfest features approximately
75-100 fine artists and handcraft artisans who display their own
art for sale including jewelry of all types, clothing, wood products,
stained glass, ceramics, soaps and candles, bags, quilts, lauhala
products. We have great entertainment and food for our guests to
enjoy. The event is scheduled from 9am - 4pm both Saturday and
Sunday. Admission is free, Come and join us to celebrate the Arts
of Hawaii.

June 11 - 13, 2010 - PAN-PACIFIC FESTIVAL
2270 Kalakaua Ave. 31ST ANNUAL PAN-PACIFIC FESTIVAL--Enjoy a
fun filled weekend at any one of our many events: the block party,
parade, hula festival, and performing arts showcase. This multi-national
festival celebrates traditions and customs of the Pan-Pacific
region. See Japanese taiko drums, hula, Korean traditional dance,
etc. Geared for every member of the family!
On Sunday, June 13, 5:00 p.m. visitors and kama‘aina (residents)
will line Kalākaua Avenue to enjoy this colorful parade. An eclectic
mix of performers, taiko drummers, modern and traditional dancers
and colorful floats will march through Waikīkī at sunset. There
will be a variety of musical entertainment from Japan and the mainland
U.S. along with local ethnic groups participating in the parade
as well.On Friday, June 11, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Waikīkī’s
famous main street, Kalākaua Avenue, will be closed to cars and
packed with pedestrians for this ho‘olaule‘a (street party). There
will be many stages filled with cultural performances including
hula, traditional Japanese dance and taiko drummers. In addition,
food booths, arts and crafts and multi-cultural exhibits will make
this an evening to remember.
July 10, 2010 - 9TH ANNUAL KOREAN FESTIVAL
Kapiolani Park & Bandstand. 9th Annual Korean Festival, Kapi‘olani
Park & Bandstand, 10a.m. to 9 p.m. One-day free event featuring
the best in Korean music, dance, food, cultural displays and family
activities, as well as Korean-made and local products. Highlights
include Korean cooking demonstrations, a kimchee eating contest,
a Korean youth singing contest, and all-day entertainment and performances
by local Korean dance studios. Benefits The Hawai‘i Korean Chamber
of Commerce.
July 17, 2010 - 33RD ANNUAL PRINCE LOT
HULA FESTIVAL
Moanalua Gardens Foundation, 1352 Pineapple Place. Moanalua Gardens
Foundation (MGF) will hold the 33rd Annual Prince Lot Hula Festival
at spectacular Moanalua Gardens on Saturday, July 17, 2010, from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The largest non-competitive hula event in Hawai‘i,
the festival honors Prince Lot Kapuaiwa who reprised the once banned
hula in the district of Moanalua.
Aug. 28 - 29, 2010 - 30TH ANNUAL GREEK
FESTIVAL
1201 Ala Moana Blvd, McCoy Pavillion Ala Moana Park. The 30th Annual
Greek Festival is starting at 12 noon at McCoy Pavilion, Ala Moana
Park. The cultural event celebrates “all things Greek” and features
live and lively Greek entertainment and some of the best authentic
Greek food available in Hawaii.
Sept. 18, 2010 - ALOHA FESTIVALS 58TH
WAIKIKI HO'OLAULE'A
Waikiki Kalakaua Ave. On Kalakaua Avenue between Lewers & Kapahulu
Avenues in Waikiki. Celebrating its 58th year and the largest block
party will kick off with the arrival of the Royal Court. Three
stages of entertainment open with hula halau, lots of food and
lei vendors and hula crafters will be spread along 12 city blocks
of the world famous Kalakaua Avenue. 7 p.m.
Sept. 25, 2010 - 65TH ANNUAL ALOHA FESTIVALS
FLORAL PARADE
Kalakaua Ave. 65th Annual Aloha Festivals Floral Parade - 9:00
am at Kalakaua Ave, Ala Moana Park to Kapiolani Park. A colorful
equestrian procession of female and male pā‘ū riders, extravagant
floats with cascades of Hawaiian flowers, hula hālau and marching
bands will brighten Kalākaua Avenue from Ala Moana Park to Kapi‘olani
Park.
Nov. 19 - 21, 2010 - 4TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL
WAIKIKI HULA CONFERENCE
Hawaii Convention Center, 1801 Kalakaua Ave, Honolulu. All hula lovers – beginners
to advanced, kamaaina and malihini – are encouraged to take this opportunity
to sign-up for what will surely be an unforgettable cultural experience! Many
participants will be returning for their 4th consecutive year at the Hawaii Convention
Center at the gateway to Waikiki.
