AAA Offers Trip Giveaways, Passport Photos at AAA Travel Show

Phoenix, Ariz., January 25, 2010. Travelers looking to plan their next vacation need look no further than the 2010 AAA Travel Show. The AAA Travel Show will take place Sat., Jan. 30 and Sun., Jan. 31 at the US Airways Center in Phoenix.

At the show, consumers will learn about exciting travel opportunities and trends. Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, Sandals Resorts and other major travel companies and tourism officials from Aruba, China, Israel and Jamaica are just a few of the vendors who will be onsite offering travel options to an estimated 8,000 attendees.  

“The AAA Travel Show is the most comprehensive travel show in the state,” said Don Gleason, vice president of travel for AAA Arizona. “The show offers a one-stop shop to plan your next trip, valuable travel tips, entertainment, prizes and the opportunity to visit with local, domestic and international travel experts, all under one roof.”  

In addition to information on travel, this year’s annual expo will also include:  

  • Free passport photos while supplies last.

  • Entertainment including Hawaiian hula dancers, Egyptian belly dancers, Phoenix Suns dancers and more.
  • Savings on vacations reserved during the show, ranging from $25 to $400.

  • Hourly travel seminars presented by travel experts on a variety of topics, including how to get the most out of your travel dollar, how to take better vacation photos, river cruising and escorted tours.
  • Instant prize drawings including Sedona and San Diego stays, American Express gift cards, theme park tickets, movie tickets, Phoenix Suns tickets and more.
  • Prize drawings including a San Diego giveaway, Kauai and $500 air credit giveaway, Club Med vacation and a grand prize of a 7-night Royal Caribbean cruise to the Mexican Riviera, courtesy of AAA Travel.

The show will run 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the US Airways Center, 201 E. Jefferson Street in Phoenix. Admission is $9 for adults and may be purchased online at AAA.com. Attendees can obtain a $3 discount coupon when they stop by their local AAA Arizona branch office.

Children under the age of 18 are free with a paid adult admission.  Parking will be available in lots and garages adjacent to the US Airways Center.

Attendees who purchase a ticket in advance at the US Airways Center or at a AAA Arizona branch office can ride the METRO light rail at no cost four hours prior to the start of the event, through the end of the transit day.
